SILENCED BY STIGMA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting survivors who identify as men by advocating for awareness around sexual violence, providing critical resources for victims and their loved ones, and developing educational workshops that incorporate creative arts to help survivors begin their healing process.

 

One in four men suffers sexual abuse in their lifetime, while one in seven is victimized by intimate partner violence. 

 

Men typically do not disclose their histories of sexual abuse for twenty to twenty-five years, are often disbelieved, shamed, and face profound obstacles while seeking assistance or justice within the legal system.
